Report any Safeguarding Concerns
We and our academies take concerns very seriously. Please do not take risks by failing to report a concern on any matter: these will be treated seriously and with appropriate sensitivity.
Those Working in our Academies
Any concern an employee or volunteer has should first be shared with the Headteacher or Chair of Governors of the academy. The governing body will have its own official complaints or whistle-blowing procedure, the details of which will be available on request. If you are unsure of how to obtain this, or feel unable to raise this with such individuals, then please contact us using the contact options below. Remember: all concerns are treated fairly, sensitively and with serious intent, regardless of the status or situation of those raising the concern.
Parents and Carers
Any concern a parent has with the education or well-being of their child in a DEMAT academy should first be shared with the child’s teacher or Headteacher. The academy’s governing body will have an official complaints procedure or means to raise a concern, the details of which will be available to parents on request or via the specific academy website. If you are unsure of how to obtain this, or feel unable to ask for it, then please use the contact options below, and we will advise you accordingly.
With concerns of a serious nature, where the parent feels the matter should be brought to the direct attention of DEMAT, please contact Amy Weaver, Director of Inclusion and Safeguarding, at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07494 503818. Alternatively, please complete the form below.
