Children from Tilney All Saints Primary School have been learning all about the Great Fire of London as part of their Topic work this term.

To further enhance their learning, the children of Penguin class, aged from 6 to 9, received a visit from their local firefighters, who spoke to them about fire safety at home and school.

Even more exciting for the youngsters was that they got to sit in the fire engine and they got to hold the hose while it sprayed water on their playing field!

Class teacher, Mrs Jennifer Lancaster, said, “The children had a lovely time exploring the fire engine and working the hose.  They learnt so much from the visit and we are very grateful to King’s Lynn Fire Station’s White Watch for finding the time to come and talk to us.”
